Scene opens with Deena and Snooki sitting on a beach towels at the beach next to a picnic basket holding fishing poles with sun hats on. The “sun” is shining above and white “birds” fly by. The two are laughing and having fun. Curtains open and the narrator begins.
Narrator:
On the isle of Patmos, above the deep blue sea, two friends, Deena and Snooki loved to visit the beach. One day while fishing,(prop person pushes out pineapple) Deena found a pineapple sitting alone. Curious, she picked it up.
Deena: Wow! I’ve never seen one this close before. Who do you suppose it belongs to? (She turns it around in awe)
Snooki: (Acting indifferent and noticing something else of interest) What, what did you say? (turning towards her and noticing the fruit) Wow, a pine! (she grabs the fruit to study it)
Deena: It’s not a pine (she grabs it back) it’s a pineapple Snooki.
Snooki: I don’t care what it’s called, Dee-na. (grabbing a fork and a knife out of her pocket) let’s eat it!
Deena: Wait, Snooki.This pineapple doesn’t belong to us. Snookie: (looking at her disapproving) You’re kidding right?
Deena: No, we’ve got to do the right thing and find its rightful owner. And since we have absolutely no clue who left it, it’s kinda, like…a quest.
Snooki: (shaking her head as if she gets it) Oh, oh, can I come! I want to help!
Deena: Are you sure? (Snooki jumps up in down in excitement) It could be fraught with danger, peril and could cost us even our lives! (taking off her hat and using it to accentuate every word she says with wide eyes)
Snooki: All for an apple? (Snooki looks suspicious. Deena nods her head) Count me in! (They do a secret handshake and laugh. They put both their hats down with their picnic basket. Snooki grabs her backpack and Deena tucks the pineapple into a sling, while the prop people get ready for the next scene placing bushes, rocks)

Scene 2: Challenge
There are now a few bushes and trees in the background, and they move slowly to the left as Deena and Snooki walk in place as if moving. YM/YW and leaders pass by in different directions.
Narrator: Deena and Snooki set off to find the owner. Each person they pass by they ask about the lost pineapple. (Some stop to shake heads no and continue on their way. After a little time, Cory finds a rock, or chair and stands up on it while holding the pineapple out and sings to the passers by. The folage stops when she gets up there.)
Song: Beauty and the Beast opening number
Snooki................Deena
Little pine................Apple!
a delicious (looks at her,back up correcting herself)
apple?.................(Deena puts her hand on her forehead).
Can we find, some-one to claim? (both sing)
Who belongs to this apple…pine?
............................Oh this pine-ap-ple. (Deena pulls Snooki down, and jumps up to finish the song. As the song is ending there are no longer people walking by and they are all alone, they look around and notice. She pulls her down off the rock, takes the pineapple from her and they hear a loud sound…)
Beat Boys: Wha-Who (Deena and Snooki look around as if scared. Snooki pulls out her sword, Deena is surprised at it and she pulls Snooki down as she is still on the alert, to hide behind a tree while they hear the song and rhythm continuing)

Deena: (They are looking scared but then she comes out looking bold and frustrated, dramatically) Wait! You can’t just take our pineapple?

Deena: Paul. Who is Paul?
Snooki: I dunno, that name keeps comin’ to my mind (hitting the side of her head. Looking around for the sun. Prop people take down the sun and put up the moon quickly) Hey, it’s about dark, let’s stop for the night. I’m bushed.
Deena: Uh, Ok. (They lay down after looking around. Deena places the pineapple on the ground in between them. The lights go off for 3 seconds and then back on)
Snooki: (Wakes up with a start) No!!! (rubs her eyes and looks around)
Deena: Hey, hey. What’s wrong? Another bad dream? (she nods, Snooki stands up and brushes herself off. Deana stands up too) Who was it about this time?
Snooki: It was more like a nightmare! I knew him some time ago. He really wanted to date me, but I wasn’t 16 yet. He…he (she can’t find the words and ends up whispering them to Deena who sits back and says “No!” Snookie says, “Yeah.”
Deena: Girl, you are so smart for getting him out of your life. I know it ain’t easy to, you know, remain chaste, you go girl!

Scene 4: Vader
Narrator: Our heroes after walking for days without healthy food and baths begin to be very tired (girls walk slowly and smell their pits). It is almost too hard to bear and they begin to wonder if they will ever find the owner of the fruit.
Deena: It’s no use Snookie (looking at the pineapple) we’ve tried all we could. We’ve asked so many people. Maybe…maybe we should just give up and go home. (sitting down and sobbing)
Snooki: (Deep in thought) Paul? Paul. Paul! Deena! I remember Paul! We can’t give up now. Don’t you remember? Don’t you remember what Paul said? (she shakes her head confused and curious). He once said,” We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things…” Yes, yes that’s it. We can’t give up now? I know we can find the owner, Deena your benevolence has brought us this far and we can’t stop, now that we’ve come so far! (Deena is sitting there memorized by Snooki, her mouth open in awe. You can see hope returning to her eyes. Snooki offers her hand and she passes her the pineapple. And jumps up happily.)
Deena: You’re right. We can do this! There is nothing that can stop-(her words get cut short as Darth Vader appears, arm outstretched and zaps Snookie back with the pineapple being suspended in mid air on bush prop. All in slow motion with Victor playing piano sounds.)
Snooki: NOO! Deena! (Snooki runs to her side and falls down to check on her.)
Darth Vader: (breathing sounds) Give me the pineapple!
Snooki: No, we won’t! (She stands up. She and Darth Vader are about 4 feet from the pineapple between them. His hand still outstretched looks like he is pulling it towards him. Deena’s holding her hands to her temple looks like she is straining it her way. The YM or YW behind the bush holding it with green hand moves it back and forth with the cues.)
Darth Vader: The virtue is strong with this one. So be it! (He pulls out his light saber and she runs to grab the pineapple. He strokes down but gets stopped by the force of the pineapple, about 6 inches from it.
Song: Izzy and Victor plays a song from Star Wars.
A cool fight scene ensues: Left, right, around, jump, left, Vader buckles a little, right Deena buckles a little, spins around “I did not tell you, I am not right handed.” and pushes him back with the force of the pineapple. Deena begins to wake up and sees what’s happening.

Narrator: One year later, we find our heroes again on a Friday night.
Snookie: Hey, there’s a new movie showing (looking at a paper, YW/YM walking by.)
Deena: What’s it called?
Snookie: Return of the pineapple. And the reviews say that it is virtuous, lovely, of good report and praiseworthy.
Deena: Let’s go see it. (They walk off stage.)
Song: “I can go the Distance” from Hercules.
Bishop: (Bishop comes out center stage, Pineapple in hand, sits down on the floor next to it and pats it on the head.)
